A request for Taodyn from FFXIonline forums. Elvaan Dragoon with wyvern. I'm trying to decide if I want to make the mood of this piece happy or sad when it comes to the digital.

 Anyhow, didn't notice the Advance Critique Encouraged. Uh... I'd say don't smudge shade, if that's what you've done. Try cross hatching. Either that or the pencil thats there just got rubbed by a hand. Happens to me all the time. In which case best thing to do is plan the thing with a few prelim sketches And then sketch the whole thing lightly, then define the lines, working down from the top left if you're right handed, top right if you're left. you get the picture. Meh. Thats my two cents... or pennies, in my case. Doing it that way wit hall the plan sketches time serious time and I can never be bothered, but then I'm just lazy and my pencil sketches are smudged  The shading effect was actually done with Photoshop. The initial sketch was incredibly light and the paper turned out grayish, so I had to use the dodge tool to drop out the gray of the paper, and then darken in the lines a bit with the burn tool. Adjusted the contrast a bit, used the sponge tool to desaturate areas that started turning purple, did that a few times until the lines showed up better.

To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure.
